About Us

Thornhollow Farm keeps a herd of registered Boer goats bred for the breed standard in all colors including traditional (white with red heads), reds, blacks, spotted and dapples. Currently our doe herd hovers around 20-25 with an average of 10 yearlings and 12-15 weanlings. We usually have 3-4 bucks and occasionally have breeding bucks for sale. Our kidding season runs from late December to mid March with the wethers being sold as 4H and FFA projects, doelings are sold as replacement stock to other farms. In addition to the Boer Goats which is a meat goat we keep a very small herd of dairy goats including Lamanchas and Alpines. Our dairy gals provide fresh milk for making cheese, yogurt, ice cream and soaps. They also provide milk for our Boer bucket babies that are pulled from dams that have triplets and quads. Both dairy and meat goats are blood tested annually through WSU Laboratories (WADDL).
